Countee Cullen Library

Through Project Art I was assigned to work at Countee Cullen library in Harlem to facilitate an afterschool art program. In this program we decided to use everyday objects as well as the materials provided to create a stop motion movie. Each student had a chance to direct, operate the camera and pick material. The emphasis was on team building, establishing a sense of community and creative problem solving.

WestHab Garden Project

Through Artswestchester, I collaborated with elementary aged students who attend a WestHab after school program hosted at PS13 in Yonkers, NY. WestHab is a nonforpofit that provides social services for low income and homeless families throughout Westchester. My time spent with these students went by incredibly fast as we had fun making personalized tiles to make a mural for the school garden.
